About Suwanee

Looking for a home to settle in can be quite overwhelming especially if you cannot find what you’re looking for. Aside from deciding what type of house to buy, you also need to choose the perfect neighborhood.

Have you visited Suwanee? Named after the Shawnee Indian tribe who settled in Georgia in the latter part of the 18th century, Suwanee is a charming Georgia community that is home to more than 15,000 residents, but still has more living spaces to offer.

Its ideal and idyllic conditions have earned it a number of awards and distinctions. In 2007, Suwanee was voted by Money Magazine readers as one of the Top 10 Best Places to Live in Georgia. It was also rated as the third Best Place in America to raise a family by Kiplinger, and in 2013 this small community was awarded as one of the Best U.S. Towns for Families by Family Circle Magazine.

Suwanee is located 30 miles north of Atlanta. The area is very progressive yet remains an agricultural municipality with deep attachments to the railroad, just like its fellow Gwinnett County communities. In other words, Suwanee is at the forefront of progressive development for such a small community.

The place is famous for its parks, and is host to many crowd-pleasing events. The Town Center Park, a 10-acre park in Buford Highway and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, has an amphitheater that can hold around 1,000 people. The park is often a venue for concerts, community events and other performances. If you’re planning to visit park, be sure to check out its interactive fountain called the “Big Splash”, which runs on 43 jets and uses 1,400 gallons of water per minute! Meanwhile, the community also has the Suwanee Creek Park, which is an ideal spot for family picnics and outings.

Aside from its parks, Suwanee is home to the Suwanee Creek Greenway, a four-mile multipurpose trail that is heavily wooded and serves as habitat to different kinds of animals. The trail has become a favorite among bikers, joggers and people who want to take a quick stroll. Be sure to visit Playtown Suwanee, a super playground built by volunteers. The community also features public libraries to help students and book lovers satisfy their reading needs.

Life in Suwanee is designed to satisfy folks from different walks of life, with its wide array of housing schemes, breathtaking views, and outstanding amenities. So if you are looking for a place to move in, let Suwanee be a part of your life.
