About West Point Lake
Stemming from the installation of West Point Dam on the Chattahoochee River, this lake has evolved into a tourist-friendly destination. West Point Lake’s shoreline is 525 miles long, and is home to several venues for recreational activities such as boating, fishing, and camping. If you stroll around the lake, you may find some other amenities that you might fancy: camping grounds, commercial marinas, park and beach areas, and hunting grounds. You may also enjoy shopping for trinkets and valuables in several antique shops all over the lake grounds, or take a bite in any of the restaurants.
West Point Lake is about 60 miles south of the Atlanta metropolitan area, and runs 35 miles on the Alabama-Georgia state line. If you’re planning to stay at West Point Lake for a night, prepare to change your mind and stay for as long as you can!
